Pennsylvania resident, Joanne Landis, was born and raised in New York City. After twelve years of fashion illustrating in New York she decided to slow the pace and move to Central Pennsylvania. She continued to teach at FIT, New York and Drexel University, Philadelphia for a number of years and now paints full time in her converted barn studio.
Her oil paintings reflect women in myth, archetype and every day life, telling the story of "every woman".
Her works have been sold world wide and grace private and public spaces alike. She exhibits extensively in New York, California and here in Pennsylvania.
